FOBB would like to establish the local support to upgrade the footpath adjacent to the River Bollin on
its approach to Priory Bridge, (see map below).
Those of you who regularly use this section of footpath will be aware that, just like the Grange Road
riverside path before its up-grade, this section becomes a quagmire during the winter months, and after heavy rain more generally.
Full year access to 3-mile loop from Bowdon Vale. In addition to improving the path, we propose to replace the rotting stiles with kissing gates, thus eliminating these dangerous obstacles and making access easier to those with limited mobility.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Trafford Council are not prepared to take action and therefore FOBB have approached Veolia Environment Trust to fund this ambitious project. In order to be considered for 95% funding we need to prove local support by engaging the maximum number of local residents to:
- Attend a public meeting*
- Complete a survey
- Raise 5% of the project cost (£900)
Please click here to download a PDF copy of the survey
*Public Meeting Bowdon Vale Methodist Church Rooms, Priory Rd, 7.30-9pm, January 29th, 2015
I hope to join the meeting and bring my form and donation. Come on down all you local people !
Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting and for your generous donations.
We will keep you posted on the progress towards funding.
