‘Balsam Bashing’ 

COVID-19: due to the need for social distancing we will be taking a maximum of 6 people for each session. If you would like to join us please email bridget@greenisp.co.uk stating which date.

Join our group of dedicated volunteers ensuring that our local area is kept clear of Himalayan Balsam. Light work in the open air.

Saturday 15 August: 10.30am, Outside The Coop, Bowdon Vale        

Sessions will finish around 1pm

Please wear long trousers and long sleeves, as we may be working amongst nettles.



Directions to Ashley Mill Bridge

Join the footpath at the bottom of Grange Road, Bowdon Vale (postcode WA14 3EY) and proceed down some woodland steps, over a small bridge, where the path opens out. Continue along the path beside the river until you reach Ashley Mill Bridge on your right hand side.

Directions to Priory Bridge

From Priory Road, Bowdon Vale (postcode WA14 3BP) follow the signs for The Priory, taking you along a private road where you will pick up signs for the footpath on the right, which will take you past some buildings on your left and into a field. Follow the path over the field and through two stiles, where you will enter a wooded area. Continue approx. 150 metres to Priory Bridge.
